Nick Hice

Founding Partner

Born and raised Dayton Ohio, Nick started growing in 3rd grade when his family opened a non-MMJ nursery and garden center. To aid in his love of plant husbandry, he then pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Management from the University of Dayton, while also playing football for the Dayton Flyers. After graduation, he helped his parents run the family nursery, garden center, and landscape design build company for a decade. As well as being a nurseryman, he also designed and built commercial and residential irrigation systems. He’s been involved in numerous green industry associations, including the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association (ONLA) and Professional Landcare Network (PLANET). Through the ONLA, he became an Ohio Certified Nursery Technician (OCNT) and was a certification committee member from 2007-2009. In that position, he helped rewrite the textbooks and testing materials for the Ohio Certified Irrigation Technician, Grower Technician, and Landscape Technician, of which he held all three.

Nick joined Denver Relief in 2009 and acts as Cultivation Facility Operations Manager for Denver Relief, specializing in maximizing crop production, stabilizing controlled environments, minimizing and reducing pest and pathogen harms, and responsible waste disposal. He manages teams of as many as 25 employees at a time, establishing and ensuring best practices for plant care from clone to harvest.
