Chelsey Joseph

Chelsey Joseph began her cannabis career in early 2009 for Colorado Dispensary Services under Jill Lamoureux, starting as a General Manager of the flagship location in Boulder. She was responsible for the day-to-day management of the dispensary and developed valuable skills in client management, education, record-keeping, and overall compliance. While in this role, Chelsey also gained experience networking in the industry and working with state and local regulators.

Chelsey was promoted to Assistant Manager of Retail Operations in 2011 and assisted with the licensing of three additional dispensaries. In response to the need for brand and policy consistency, Chelsey developed the first company-wide standard operating procedures for Colorado Dispensary Services. She also contributed to the development of  a company intranet to provide resources to staff, including policy and procedures, flowcharts, legal documents, and regulation updates. She created and implemented an online training program through tutorials and videos, and became the lead trainer for all dispensary employees.

Throughout her time with CDS, Chelsey became involved with industry groups like the National Cannabis Industry Association, and was a speaker at a press conference held at CU Boulder during a visit from President Barack Obama in May of 2012. Chelsey graduated in 2012 from the University of Colorado in Boulder where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, emphasizing in Sustainable Development, and a minor degree in Business Administration. Chelsey joined the Denver Relief Consulting team as an Associate Consultant in July of 2013, and is currently focused in Canada and Washington State.
