Caitlin McKennie

Executive Intern

When not interning at Denver Relief Consulting, Caitlin works as both a research and teaching assistant in the Economics Department at the University of Colorado Denver. She also volunteers as an intern in the Research and Development Department at Water For People, a nonprofit organization that institutes clean water facilities in less-developed countries all around the world and drives to end foreign aid reliance. She is currently receiving my Master’s Degree in Economics at CU Denver, and will be applying to PhD programs this fall. Her main focuses in her field of study are environmental economics and health economics.

In her free time, she likes to enjoy the great outdoors with her dog, Kuna. She love camping, hiking, fishing, biking, and skiing. She enjoys to run as a form of therapy, and tries to have enough time to train and complete at least two half marathons each year. She is currently training for a half Ironman that will be held in Napa next April. She was born and raised in Reno, Nevada where most of her family is still living. She loves to travel and visit new places and cultures. Traveling, she believes, opens the hearts, minds, and eyes.
